Archi-Interactive Camp

Social networking is also a significant aspect in the realm of architecture.

Archi-Interactive Camp (AIC) is proposed as an annual gathering for the architecture students via respective architecture society from various participating universities. Students will not only gain advantage of sharing knowledge under different education systems, but also the ability to connect via social networking.

AIC attempts to deliver interactive form of events and activities with learning purpose, and not any typical educational camping at any recreational venue. The programmes of AIC simply intend to encourage related architectural learning via learning experience away from the design studio.

AIC is not only an event. AIC is a minor entity where architecture students from various universities actively get in touch with each other, keep the interactive community alive, and in any future events, continue to develop a diplomatic relationship.

Our Objectives

Why IKAT?

‘IKAT’ is a verb; it is to tie or to bind, to attach or to tether in Malay language.
To tie is bonding in abstraction. In gathering architecture students from various universities, and to tie and bind them into a bonded friendship is our principal objective of AIC2018.
IKAT appropriately expresses the eponymous activities and events of AIC2018. In IKAT, opportunities abound to comprehend use of bamboo as the material in simple construction methods. It is noted that the conventional bamboo construction employs rope to tie and to firm up joints.

Bamboo, Learning, Friendship.

- To enhance learning experience in design inspiration and to promote bamboo architecture among architecture students;

- To extend social networking among architecture students to inter-university level;

- To create a getaway for architecture students who are always burdened with a heavy load work;
